"Western Suite" was composed by Betsy Bright and performed by Monsoon Brass, a professional brass ensemble based in Tucson, AZ. All of its members, Betsy Bright (trumpet), Dave Morgan (tuba), Jason Carder (trumpet) Victor Valenzuela (horn) and Joey Munoz (trombone) are members of the Tucson Pops Orchestra. When they are not performing with The Tucson Pops or Monsoon Brass, these musicians can also be found performing with the Tucson Symphony, teaching at the Fred Fox School of Music, or touring the globe with Yanni. The composer, Betsy Bright, is a trumpet player with Monsoon Brass, the Tucson Symphony (TSO), and principal trumpet with the Tucson Pops Orchestra. She is an active brass arranger and is one of the composition instructors with the TSO's Young Composer Project.
